Second Chances

Posted: March 11, 2011 in Uncategorized

No one who commits a crime deserves a second chance. However, Anyone who is a victim of a crime such as someone who has been KILLED, deserves another chance.

Mike Vick for instance doesn’t deserve another chance for killed innocent animals, but those animals do. I think it horrible that Mike has gotten a second chance because what he did to those dogs is unbelievable. It’s not fair for an animal to be put in a position that they were in. I don’t think anyone deserves a second chance. Especially for committing a crime.

January Reading Log

Posted: February 10, 2011 in Uncategorized

In the month of January I have read two books. Deadline by Chris Crutcher was the first book I read this month. I read 210 of 336 pages of this book. I also read Billie Standish was Here by Nancy Crocker. So far I have only read 25 pages of this this book.

Deadline is a book about a young man named Ben Wolf who is told that he only has one ear to live. He then tries to pack the rest of his life into his senior year of high school. Ben is not going to take the treatment from the doctor.. He’s also not going to tell anyone about his rare blood disease. Not even his parents.

Ben was an outstanding cross country runner. But he quit for football so he could try something new. Everyone knows that Ben could get into a college for running but since he’s going to die, he doesn’t care.

If I was Ben, I would probably do the same thing as him. I would keep everything a secret between me and my doctor. I wouldn’t want anyone to know about me dying early.

Oh Yea!! Snow Day!!

In the cold winter of 2004, my forth grade year at Hosea Elementary School, there was a snow day; nobody told me! My parents woke me up for school and I quickly showered dressed and hopped in the car to start my school day. Then I got to school…       No cars. No students. No teachers. I was left out. No one tells me this stuff. Sure, it’s my responsibility to find things out on own, but I was in forth grade! Cut me some slack people. I eventually got made fun of for that once people started finding out, but thats behind us now. We’ll leave it in the snow and keep piling it up so no one is reminded of it.

Oops… Snow melted!

John Henry – Letter

Posted: January 21, 2011 in Uncategorized

Dear John Henry,

I am writing this letter to you to say that I look up to you. You may not agree with this, but you are a hero; not just to me but to many. I think it awesome that you had the courage to take on a nearly impossible challenge, for your peers, and accomplish it. Not many people would be able to do what you have done. I just wanted you to know you’re a role model of mine and I’ll always look up to you and remember your story.
